Dear Anat,
It was indeed great speaking to all you’ll yesterday and I look forward to hearing back from you soon about the following steps. I would also recommend thinking about a theme
for this workshop. As you may have noticed in the invitation letter, there is an overarching topic on which the entire workshop is built. Thus, ideally you can should formulate a topic that would suit INDC’s interest as well as the other participants’.
Thank you so much for the invitation to visit the INDC—I will be delighted. Let me touch base with you guys once I am in Israel.
Also, I have cc’ed, but failed to properly introduce my colleague in Israel Ms. Jill Wyler. As I told you over the phone, Jill is the most capable organizer you can imagine.
She has tremendous experience dealing with all aspects of our academic workshops program, and she is located in Tel-Aviv. Feel free to reach out to her with any organizational concern or question you may have—I assure you, there is nothing she cannot successfully
resolve.
Best,
Ilai Saltzman

Dear illai
It was indeed a pleasure to speak with you yeterday.
Thank you for sending the materias and potential list so quickly, it will definately help us get things started. It is now time for us to figure out a few things on our end and first thing will be the date of the conference.
We will be in touch as soon as we'll have some new information.
We would also like to invite you to come and visit the INDC once you are in Israel, it will be a great opportunity for you to see the college and for all of us to continue working on the program, please send us the details of your visit

Dear All
I compiled a tentative list of potential speakers from both the US and Western Europe. Obviously, if you have any other preferences, go ahead and add the names/institutions to the list. I think that we should think about a date first and then quickly move to invitations.
Let me know what you think
Best,
Ilai Saltzman

Subject: Israel Institute--Academic Workshop
Dear Matan, Anat and Haim
It was a great pleasure to speak with you earlier today, and I look forward to working with you on this academic workshop. As you kindly requested, I am attaching a sample letter of invitation (for a workshop at Bar Ilan University) as well as a program for a workshop recently held at the Hebrew University. As these are internal documents, please do not circulate them further.
The Israel Institute will be very happy to assist you in writing the letter of invitation once we set a date for the workshop; we can write the letter and send it for your review and approval if you wish. After looking at the calendar, and given our preference to hold the workshop anytime between December 2017 and February 2018, I would recommend focusing on the week of January 7th or January 14th.
As for the composition of the cohort, I spoke with Ari and he is in agreement that you can invite participants from outside the US. From our side, 8 Americans and 4 non-Americans is highly desirable.
As I told you over the phone, do not hesitate to contact me with any question.
Best
Ilai Saltzman
