Subject : Question about VR for Israel

Mr. Zebrack / Col DeStazio,

Is there a special visit request (VR) process for Israel?  Our travel facilitator here, Ms. Susan Fuchs, has checked the official U.S. guide for such matters, and isn't seeing any such requirement or form.  Do the Israelis have a particular process or form we need to complete?  If so, we are requesting to know who the information needs to be sent to, and their contact information.

Would you be able to help us with that please?

Thanks,

Andrew

Andrew,

The requirement for a visit request is not listed in the Foreign Clearance Guide for Israel, nor is there a link in the FCG from which to download the visit request.  (I reviewed the FCG again and still couldn't find the requirement for a visit request.)

Do the Israelis have a specific VR that needs to be processed?

Does the VR need to be submitted to the Political Military Bureau Directorate, Israeli Ministry of Defense, since they have overall visit responsibility (per the preliminary agenda you submitted)?  If yes, I need to know to whom the VR should be sent and their contact information.

Or would the VR be submitted to the in-country contacts listed below and in the APACS request?  Would sending the VR to these in-country contacts be sufficient?  I do not have a point of contact or contact information at each company that you plan to visit during 27-31 October.
