Hope you had a Happy Hanucka… We have a final plan to our trip to Brussels, unfortunately we will be traveling on March 26^th-30^th. If you can change your plan, we will be honored to have you at our College on the following week.

Thank you very much for reaching out to me. We have very strong feelings towards the Stephan Wise Free Synagogue and we have great esteem for your generous hospitality and unconditional support for the state of Israel. Unfortunately on our trip to the US in May 2017, we will not be in New York for Shabbat, therefor we will not visit your wonderful synagogue this year. Hopefully we will do so next year (2018).

As for your request – our College is planning to be on a trip to NATO HQ in Brussels on March 26-30, it is not confirmed yet. If it's possible for you to visit us during the following week, that will be much better. If not I will have to wait a few more days in order to see what will be our final trip schedule to NATO.

Our synagogue, the Stephen Wise Free Synagogue, is one of the oldest and most historic congregations in New York City with strong Israeli support and Israeli ties.  And, as you know, we have hosted the INDC officers over the last four years for Shabbat services and dinner when they have visited the United States.  These visits have been a high point for many of our congregants over the years.

 

This spring, I will be leading a congregational mission to Israel with approximately 100 members from our synagogue family.  Many joining me on this March Mission have attended the INDC visits and have found it both meaningful and enlightening to have had the opportunity to dialogue one on one with the men and women who are the new generation of leaders for the security of Israel.

 

We would like the opportunity to visit with the college and its officers on our upcoming mission.  Our travel professionals at Da’at Travel have carved out the afternoon of March 30 for a visit.  If this is not convenient we will rearrange our schedule accordingly. Amir Lavi, alavi@daattravel.co.il, our point person, will be in touch.
