Subject: Mike Kandel on Ali Velshi
Hello all:
Great to see you yesterday, and I'm pleased to be of whatever help I can be.
I'm delighted to report that Ali Velshi, economics correspondent and anchor at MSNBC is agreeable to speak to the group on May 23 about the state of the U.S. economy, etc. He suggests the morning at your hotel. I think he'd be ideal to do it at a breakfast meeting (or later), as a kick-off to your economy day. My suggestion is that he speak rather briefly (20 minutes) and then answer questions. He's very sharp and articulate, and I know the group would get a lot out of him.
He's willing to do it without compensation. He would need to get a formal invitation, and then get approval from his network, which he doesn't think will be a problem.
A good start. Let me know.
Best regards,
Mike Kandel
