First, thank you for all your efforts in putting together this program for our visit to the US. We very much appreciate everything that has been done so far and we have no doubt that working together
will bring us to a great program for the Israel National Defense College.
Harris, Israel's National Defense College visit to the US is an official visit of the highest form for educational programs of the state of Israel. Therefore it is of the official
representative of the state of Israel to have general responsibility for this visit. In Washington DC it is the Israeli Ambassador with his Staff and our Military mission. In New York it we are represented by our General
Consular to New York, and in Chicago by our General Consular to Chicago.
We are happy to have JINSA leading part of this trip in Washington and in Chicago, though having said that, we still want to have our official representative involved. If I understand correctly
the following would be led by the General Consul in Chicago: The Dinner at the General Consul's home on Thursday, The meeting with the mayor of Chicago, The service at Sinai Synagogue and the Friday night Dinner at the Hotel. We also had planned to visit the
University of Chicago, we are still not sure about that, as we are waiting to hear your alternative suggestion details before making a
decision.
Please let's all try to work together on this in order for it to succeed.
P.S. we are
concerned about the program at the Global Affairs Council. We were there for a meeting with Itay and we thought to focus on the "Trump
phenomenon" though the people you coordinated with are all associated with the Obama administration. This goes against our main purpose of visiting Chicago. It would be appreciated if you could try to balance it with a
republican representative.

If yes, can you let me know what they said?
As I mentioned, based on a conversation my boss had last night with senior a IDF official we are operating under the assumption that we will be managing the schedule for both Thursday and Friday.
We also understand that the group will have dinner organized by the Consul General and that Mayor Emanuel is confirmed for 3:30pm on that Friday.
