On the surface, nothing really had changed for the Knicks. Phil Jackson wasn't in the practice gym with his large summer hats like a year ago, but his loyal lieutenants - Kurt Rambis and Clarence Gaines - were still overseeing the proceedings as Knicks employees. Perhaps more surprising given the developments of the last three days was the shape of the players on the court.
