Thank you kindly for the invite to what looks like an exceptionally interesting event. I see great utility in the seminar and I have asked BGen Dave Anderson, our Director-General Readiness, to attend and represent CJOC’s interests.

 

BGen Anderson oversees the work of our Joint Warfare Centre (which includes operational simulation) and is currently leading CJOC efforts to explore and understand the changing threat environment in which we find ourselves. As such, he is well suited to exploit the full benefits that the Operational Simulation Seminar will offer.

I hope you and the MGen. are well.

 

Attached is an invitation to a unique event which will be held in Israel in 2 months.

 

The OS seminar will be led by the IDF J3 MGen. Haliva, and attended by our Deputy Chief of the IDF, our J5, head of our R&D (DRDC equivalent) and many other seniors from Israel and international partners.

 

The program for the seminar is planned to be very interesting and challenging, dealing with some of the toughest dilemmas modern militaries face these days, and the challenges of relevant, credible, agile and measurable operational planning.

I think this event would be a great platform for CJOC seniors (MGen. Seymour or others) to take part in such discussions and engage with all of the IDF leadership, as well as other partners.
