The UK’s Defence Academy has been running a Strategic Leadership Programme (SLP) in various locations around the world since 2006 in order to enhance the strategic leadership performance of officers and officials from the security sector.  In October this year they will be presenting the course in Cyprus.  As the note attached explains, the Cypriot Government have agreed that delegates from the region can be invited to this course in order to give a broader perspective to the discussions.  Therefore 2 delegates from the IDF, IMOD or other Israeli Government departments are invited to attend to represent Israel.  Greece, Jordan and Egypt will also be invited to send delegates to the course.   The Cypriot and UK attendees on the course will be at LTC level although Major to Colonel would work.  All the other details are in the attached note and programme but to emphasise:  all costs, including flights to Cyprus, would be covered by the UK; the course will be in English.

 

Would Israel be interested in sending 1 or 2 delegates to the course?  Could you please confirm either way with me by 23^rd August so that we can reallocate the places if necessary.
