A few updates on the planning for the Strategic Dialogue. I have included many questions below. Grateful for anything you could provide. The Strategic Dialogue is in almost a month.
· Gifts –In 2018, there were no gift exchanges between Israel and Canada. We are not planning on giving gifts for the Strategic Dialogue this year, but I’d be grateful for your confirmation that the Israeli Delegation won’t be giving gifts either, to avoid confusion.
· Agenda – You’ll find the updated draft agenda attached, for your review. I am happy to say that we were able to include one of your recommendation in the panels, which is Great Power competition. We unfortunately won’t have time to discuss Climate Change during the Monday morning panels.
· Lunch on November 23rd – Would it be possible for the Israeli Delegation to have lunch at the Embassy on the Tuesday? Happy to work with you to set this up, if it is possible.
· Delegation confirmation – any confirmation on the attendees that you could tell me? We are finalizing participation list. I would also be grateful for their flight details and numbers. Please let me know if there are any problems with the vaccination requirements.
· DM meeting – We have provided an official recommendation for Mr. Palti and you to have a bilateral meeting with the Deputy Minister on Monday afternoon. To be confirmed.
· Official dinner – Is the Israeli Ambassador interested in taking part in the Official Dinner at 125 Sussex Drive, on November 22nd?

Good afternoon,
As the Strategic Dialogue is coming fast, I am in need of confirmation from your end on the number of people and level of attendance of participants.
I need to complete the hospitality request before the end of the week, as it might take 8 weeks to get approved. A number of participants (or an estimate) would be very much appreciated.
To ensure our ADM’s participation, we must also make sure that his counterpart, Mr. Palti, will be participating. The ADM’s office has been pushing for a confirmation of the level of attendance.
