Subject : 'Ink Master' runner-up arrested for allegedly strangling daughter

Chris Blinston, a runner-up on “Ink Master,” was arrested in Florida this week after allegedly strangling his 13-year-old daughter twice. The reality star, who is a former Marine, is actually a dad of four, but only has partial custody of the teen. According to a report, Blinston and his daughter were having a visit on Tuesday when a dispute arose. She maintains he grabbed her by the neck, squeezing to cut off her air supply for at least 10 seconds. When she yelled at him for choking her, he allegedly did so again, this time for at least six seconds. The young girl told her therapist about the violent incident, and the counselor in turn contacted police. The teen allegedly had marks on her neck from the apparent strangulation, and further told police that her father verbally abused her as well, and had warned that if she told someone what happened, there’d be consequences. Based on information obtained by TMZ from the authorities, Blinston has more than 100 pounds on his daughter, and is also more than 10 inches taller than her. He was booked for felony domestic battery, and released after posting $6,000 bond. Last week, Blinston shared a photo of his two youngest kids on Instagram, writing, “I don’t often post personal pics. But this morning my littlest ones are incredible in their @rags_to_raches!! #heart!!! #SEMPERFI #FAMILY #nevergiveup.” He included a number of additional hashtags, including ones referencing Ink Master. He also tagged the Instagram account for the Spike show. Blinston placed second during the reality competition’s sixth season in 2015, losing to winner Dave Kruseman. Nearly a year ago, Blinston posted an Instagram photo of his daughter, saying in the caption, “Try to remember when they were 2, 3 or 6 years old. Then look at your 13 year old. And see if she’s still not that little girl from 10 years ago in your eyes!!!! #princess #choir #family #semperfi #nevergiveup.” And in the bio posted on Blinston’s official site, it says, “Chris spends his free time volunteering and concentrating on many endeavors that promote successful outcomes for coworkers, families, and children. He is a dedicated father, leader and community advocate.” Police clearly disagree.
