Hey Brandon,

The best POC will be the IDF ground forces foreign affairs office.

Please call LtCol Kochi Brami and she will be able to assist - +972 52-9250287. You can also talk to Major Mor Peltz, she heads the IDFs Medical Corps foreign cooperation - +972 50-3559849.

Let me know if they don’t help or if you need any additional assistance!

Hi Benzi and Kobi,

I have sent this request to both of you because it pertains to both the IDF’s use of a medical capability and the company and technology behind it that the Australian Defence Force is interested in.

In short, a small team from Australia’s military medical experts is examining a potential visit to Israel in the week 18-22 November to look at an ICU capability Australia is trialling. As such I am looking to confirm the best Points of Contact in both the IDF SF and Shaag Medical Group. Below is some background and an explanation of what the team would hope to gain from a visit to Israel.

The ADF is conducting a trial on a portable casualty evacuation systems that may provide platform agonistic solutions to the Australian Defence Force and also generate opportunities in both capacity and capability. One system that we are trailing is a product called MOVES SLCTM that attaches to a stretcher and provides a mobile Intensive Care system. A product information leaflet is attached and we have been advised that this product is currently being used by the Israel Defence Force.

In order to inform potential solutions for the Australian Defence Force we are looking at how other Defence forces are utilising these type of systems to improve their evacuation chain and how the Defence Industries support the Defence Forces in delivering this effect. As such, Australia is seeking engagement with Israeli Defence Force Special Forces Medicine and Shaag Medical Group to discuss their use of the MOVES SLCTM or simular casualty evacuation systems.

Informal engagement was conducted in May this year with IDF SF Medicine, COL Dr Ishay Ostfeld and the CEO of Shaag Medical, Eyal Greenbaum who are happy to support the visit. COL Dr Ishay Ostfeld offered to connect us with the rest of the Israeli medical corps. Their contact details are as follows: iostfeld@hotmail.com and eyal@shaag.com

A visit would allow for a greater understanding on how the IDF addresses the issues of platform integration, capacity, capability, and regulation of casualty evacuation across the battlespace and potentially for our respective health projects to share information regarding casualty evacuation.

Grateful if you could either put me in contact with Colonel Ostfeld and Mr Eyal Greenbaum, or suggest alternate POCs so that I can link these groups up to discuss a potential visit. If it does go ahead obviously happy for Sibat and ICU to coordinate engagement as per normal procedures.

Regards
