My Friends,
Regarding Cybertech, this past year was a turning point between the ‘Days of Corona’ and the return to the enormous momentum of the global cyber revolution and the Cybertech community.
Indeed, the pandemic has not yet faded from the world (in Asia, particularly, it is difficult to have physical gatherings). Still, we can hope that the worst is behind us.
During the pandemic’s peak, we did our best to continue and extend Cybertech’s network throughout the globe. We started with digital conferences and continued with physical conferences at our first opportunity. And so, in 2021, we launched two new Cybertech events in Dubai and New York; both were successful.
In 2022, we returned and held our two flagship events thus far—Cybertech Tel Aviv in March after two years and two months, which was a huge success. In May 2022, Cybertech Europe came to Rome after a break of almost three years. It was our first conference after the Corona outbreak, proving even larger than our successful event in 2019. In July, our Midwest Conference returned to Indianapolis, Indiana, in the United States, and in November (15-16), we will hold the Cybertech New York event for its second time. It will be the most prominent cyber conference on the East Coast and will be attended by, among others, more than fifty startup companies. This November, the second
Cybertech New York event is expected to be one of the largest cyber events.
In advance of the Jewish new year, this week, we are publishing our list of 2023 Cybertech Events around the globe. It includes conferences in nine major cities: New York this coming November,
Tel Aviv at the end of January 2023, Miami, Panama City, Kigali-Rwanda, Indianapolis, Tokyo, Rome, New York, and Dubai. For the exact dates of the Cybertech events,

They are places where governments meet, government officials meet with companies, and startups take their first steps and meet investors, partners, and their first customers. As a result, cybersecurity people become exposed to the most innovative ideas and concepts of the future. Together, they meet individuals in R&D, leading universities, and representatives of cities with innovative environments - “ecosystems” that allow entrepreneurs to flourish, find solutions to increasing cyber threats, and, at the same time, transform cyberspace into a tremendous financial opportunity. More than anything, cyber is a community.
Personally, during the challenging period presented by Corona, I was moved to tears to meet countless new friends from the United Arab Emirates and the Persian Gulf in general – a result of the Abraham Accords and the Cybertech event in Dubai. Additionally, the fact that we will be holding an event in Rwanda, Africa, for the first time excites me. In my eyes, the cyber domain provides the African continent with a tremendous opportunity to enter the digital world, conducted at a crazy pace on the Internet. Africa now has the chance to jump light years ahead, thanks to the connectivity of the network.
Cyber is not a temporary fad, but rather a revolution that has brought forth a new and virtual dimension to our human existence. This revolution promises many opportunities but also many threats. We saw this happen during Corona when the world accelerated at an increased speed into the cyber arena and met with more threats. In these recent years, the cyber defense industry and technologies designed to maximize the benefit of global collaborations within cyberspace—such as artificial intelligence—gained enormous momentum. In general, cyberspace relies on international cooperation but also welcomes the competition. Cybertech people in Israel and around the world are proud to play a role in the connection between our community members and the different cyber fields and continents.
The way I perceive the cyber revolution--as a new era in human history and not less than that--can be read in my book “Cybermania,” which I wrote together with Professor Evyatar Mantania, the founder of Israel’s National Cyber Directorate and its Director for its first six years. The book was initially published in Hebrew and
English, and, just this week, the French edition launched in Paris. The book will also be published in Spanish in a few more months.
You can order “Cybermania” in different languages through the links below.
"Cybermania" in English. "Cybermania" in French. "Cybermania" in Hebrew. Here is another update. In addition to Cybertech Tel Aviv, we are organizing the DLD Innovation Festival from February 1-3, 2023, in Tel Aviv. This conference also attracts thousands of people from outside Israel to visit. The global chairman of DLD is the legendary Yossi Vardi, also at the head of Cybertech.
We are accelerating our growing global activities with Comexposium, one of the three largest event organizers around the world (with a headquarters in Paris), and our new partner as of this year.
With the enormous momentum, I feel pleasantly bound to thank all the state bodies that have helped Cybertech become the most prominent cyber brand of its kind in the world, most specifically, the Israeli National Cyber Directorate, Ministry of the Foreign Affairs, Ministry of the Economy, and all the other ministries. In addition, all the foreign embassies in Israel and the hundreds of Cybertech partners worldwide help immensely. Finally, we thank our partner cities and countries, companies that sponsor us, contribute knowledge, and more that cannot be listed.
An enormous thank you to my co-founder of Cybertech, Dror Magal, to all the Cybertech teams in Israel and around the globe, and, above all, to our worldwide cyber community members. Without your deep partnership, we would not have been able to stand against the virus and emerge from Corona as a cohesive and more significant community than before.
