As you know Air Commodore Phil Lester and Brigadier Khashi Sharifi from the UK’s Development Concepts and Doctrine Centre (part of the Joint Force Development Directorate within Joint Forces Command) have requested a calls on IDF concepts and force design officers on 19-20 Jun 19.  These dates are set because Air Cdre Lester will be attending Cyber Week 23-26 June.  Their biographies are attached.  They both met BG Meir Finkel when he visited the UK in February.

 

In particular they would like to discuss the IDF’s approach to: modern deterrence and multi-domain / multi-dimensional operations; wargaming; force design; air concepts.

 

Having discussed this with J3 International Cooperation, Benzi and Shahar suggest a half day joint round table discussion with J7 and Dado Centre on 19^th June (either morning or afternoon).  They have also suggested that it would be useful to have a meeting with officers in J5 leading on Force Design.  The IAF have agreed to arrange a meeting with BG Amonon Ein Dar to talk about Air concepts.

 

All transport and administration would be organised by UK Defence Section, no IDF hosting is required.

 

Would it be possible therefore to have a meetings as follows:

Half day round table with Dado Centre (BG Meir Finkel or rep) and J7 Concepts Branch (BG Yaakov Bengio)

1.5 hour with IAF Hd of Training and Doctrine BG Amnon Ein Dar
