Apologies for the multiple lines of request, but I am unsure which area of the IDF (J5 or J3?) is leading on the IDF’s preparatory planning for potential scenarios that may result from annexation of the West Bank and Jordan Valley after July.

This direction from the Defense Minister to the CoS has been widely reported in the media and is gaining increasing levels of interest from my superiors.

 

I understand you are not able to provide specifics, but I would be grateful for any broad details of what the IDF preparatory planning may encompass. For example, does it include the mobilisation of additional troops to augment the Judea and Samaria Division? Will they be undertaking ‘hearts and minds’ engagement with the local population? Will they receive specific training in certain disciplines?

 

Anything you are able to share would be gratefully received.
