Sir,

It sounds perfect.

Could you please send me the final schedule for the day,

I'm making a booklet for all of the students with the bios' of the presentors and would like to get it in there.

Is there anything else that I can assist you with?

Also, on the logistics side of things, entrence to the building, lunch, etc. is there anything that I should know or can do to help?

Thank you very much for everything and I'm looking forward to seeing you in two weeks.

Ido,

Good to hear from you. I am happy to report I have confirmed Eliot Cohen, Dennis Ross and Hanin Ghaddar for the June 17 set of briefings. Any other special requests?

Good morning sir and a meaningful Memorial day,

I hope this email finds you well,
Continuing from our last discussion, I wanted to confirm the schedule for the INDC visit on the 06/17/2019.
The original timeframe was 08:30-13:00 and we were discussing having having either Mr. Dennis Ross or Mr. David Makovsky speak for one of the sessions.

We also mentioned the possibility of having Aaron David Miller or Eliot A. Cohen.

If she is available, it would be our honor to meet Dr. Ghaddar as well.

Please let me know if there is anything that we can do to assist or send.

Good evening sir
I hope this email findes you well,

Countinuing our discussion from early January, we were hoping on visiting on Monday, the 17th of June, from 08:30-13:00.
The group will be made out of 55 people (42 students and 13 staff).

If possible, we were hoping to have a similar outline as the group had last year:

  • Introduction of the Institute,
  • The US forigen policy in the Middel East - a panel discussion / main speaker and Q&A (an hour and 15 minuts)
  • brake
  • US foregin policy in the global areana - headings and challenges of the Trump administration (one hour).
  • brake
  • Lebanon, Syria, Iran - US policy towards the Axis states.
  • Lunch

As discussed during our meeting, we would highly appreciate it if we could meet reserchers from the Washington Institute (such as Dennis Ross or David Makovsky) along side reserchers from other institutes (possibly Aaron David Miller or Eliot Cohen). If she is available, it would be our honor to meet Dr. Ghaddar as well.

Please let me know if this proposal sounds good for you and if there is anything that we can do to help.

Good morning sir,

How are you?
We are at DC enjoying the snow as well and completely understand the situation.
Would it be acceptable if we come to meet at a location closer to you (we can come to a coffee shop or an area of your liking).
If it's not an option (completely understandable), we can have a Skype chat at a time of your convenience, we are at the Fairfax hotel and can do it from here.

Please let me know if there is anything else we can do to assist.

Ido,

Because of the weather, our office will be closed tomorrow and I won’t be coming downtown. I am afraid we need to find an alternative - phone, Skype, etc. I am sorry about this but it’s out of my hands.

Obviously, we will still be happy to move forward on planning for your visit.

Best,

Rob

Thank you very much for the quick response, it would truly be an honor to visit the institute.

We will be arriving on Sunday to Washington and are supposed to leave to New York on Tuesday afternoon /evening. We could meet on Monday afternoon if it's more suitable.

Please let me know if Monday could work and we will find a suitable hour.

Thanks for your note note — good to hear from you.

Is next Tuesday your only day in DC to meet? It may not be convenient for me.

Of course, we look forward to hosting another delegation from INDC this June. Do you have the dates for your June visit yet?

Good morning Dr. Satloff,

My name is MAJ Ido Soceanu and I took over Lieutenant Colonel Matan Or's position as the Head of the International Fellowship and Cooperation Desk at the Israel National Defense College (Matan is still at the INDC just in a different position - Head of the Instruction Branch as he mentioned in your previous correspondence).

Please allow me to begin by emphasizing just how fascinating of an experience we had last year last year, visiting the Washington Institute and listening to your remarkable panel (I was at the back of the room translating the lectures into Hebrew so I got to enjoy it in both languages).

We are currently starting to plan out this year's trip and would very much like to continue the tradition and visit the Washington Institute if possible.
We will be in Washington between June 16-19 2019, and we're hoping to visit the Washington Institute on Monday June 17th morning until noon, will this date work for you?

Ambassador Raphael Schutz is leading this the preparation for this trip along with COL Alon Madanes (who will take the position of Israel's Ground Forces Attaché upon completion of the INDC course), they will both be in Washington next month to prepare the visit.
Do you think it will be possible for you to meet with us on Tuesday January 15th morning?

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help and any questions I may answer.
