Subject: Visit German General Staff College Delegation to Israel; 21 June - 27 June; Request for assistance
Dear ICU Team,
as last year also this year a delegation from the German General Staff College is paying a visit to Israel. During the time frame from 21 – 27 June the delegation will travel across Israel in order to get an insight into national security
challenges and to learn more about lovely Israel.
According to the schedule it would be highly appreciated if the IDF could provide the delegation with a briefing about the situation around the Gaza Strip (preferably at the lookout Black Arrow). The visit to the southern region of Israel
is planned for 25 June during the morning hours (we have already an event planned in Jerusalem for 25 June afternoon – 16:00 hrs).
Secondly, I would kindly request your assistance coordinating a visit to the Holocaust Memorial Yad Vashem. It is our intention to visit Yad Vashem 27 June during the morning hours
(09:30 – 12:00) and leaving after the wreath ceremony around lunch time. As far as I understood you’ve been able in the recent years to organize a guide and to inform the Yad Vashem protocol about our intention to put a
wreath in the Hall of Remembrance and it would be highly appreciated if you could support us this year in a similar manner.
The delegation consists out of 14 students (ranks Major and equ.) and 3 instructors (rank CDR; HoD Captain (Navy)). The delegation will be accompanied
through myself during the entire visit.
