Greetings from the US Embassy! In working with AWC, they had expressed some interest in Iron Dome. There was some thought of visiting a C2 facility but I was a bit worried that would eat up too much time as it would be off their intended path of travel. My input/opinion would be that a briefing about it may suffice. Anyway, I leave that up to Lt Col Rachel to interject and advise on, but I at least wanted to put it out there about their request, in response to your offer for assistance.

Do you only need our help for those few hours that you'll be at the colleges? We can also try to help schedule other things too (i.e a tour the northern borders, Gaza Strip, Yad Vashem Museum...)

Below is a draft plan for our visit to the IDF. I have not been able to talk directly with Maj Gal or Lt Col Or, so I am uncertain if this plan will work for you or not. I know you are very busy, so I will try to resolve some of our planning concerns in this email.

08:00 arrive Israel Defense Force College (Tel Aviv)
08:30 IDF briefings/meetings
10:30 US embassy personnel meeting (at IDF)
11:45 depart Israel Defense Force College
While we are in your building, our goal would be to discuss what the IDF does, talk about challenges and successes for the IDF and learn how the IDF and the US forces work together. If you have additional topics that you would like for us to hear, we would be interested in planning for that.
Col DeStazio and/or Lt Col Unruh (US embassy personnel) MIGHT come to your building to brief us on embassy issues and items they determine are relevant to our visit. I am confident they will work that plan through their channels. Otherwise, we will meet them in the Embassy in Tel Aviv and will not be in your building for the US embassy personnel meetings in the plan above.
Our group will have a total of 17 people in it. We will have a mix of US military and civilian personnel.
I am still available to talk on Tuesday or Wednesday with Maj Gal. I can call her at a time that is convenient for her.

My name is Derek Rachel. I am a student in Air War College. A team of students, to include myself, are planning an official visit to Israel from 7-12 March.
I got your name from Col DeStazio (US Air Attaché). He said you might be able to assist me with setting up a tour guide. Currently, I am working with Mr. Michael Fuchs with Okafim Travel and Tours in Haifa. While his costs and services seem appropriate for our group, I wanted to see if you had a preferred tour operator that I could contact to get a quote.
There will be 17 total students and staff on the trip. If desired, I can send the draft itinerary for you to review and make recommendations. Otherwise, I would happily accept any suggestions you have for tour guides.
