As I explain to my previous email, this is more or less a matter of standard procedures of the NEOCG. State of Israel is every year more than welcome to participate to any exercise the Republic
of Cyprus organizes. Much appreciated.
I am also aware of the invitation sent by the National Guard (attached) which is also refers to the NEOCG Table Top Exercise and that the exercise is “For
NEOCG Members and NEOCG Observers Members”.
We will now procced with the aforementioned necessary actions and I will inform you accordingly.

Thanks for your email.
We participated in the last 2 TTXs, and received an official invitation from the CDR of Cyprus national guard to participate again this year.
We participated in the last NEOCG
Meeting as observers in Norway.
I would officially like to request to participate as observers this year as well, and hope this isn’t an issue.

I have been informed by my colleague, Captain Andrea Zacharia from the Cy JRCC about the possible interest of State of Israel to participate at the Table Top Exercise of NEOCG.
I have to mentioned and maybe you already know that NEOCG table top exercise (TTX) is an only Member States (MS) TTX and has to do with procedures that the MS of the NEOCG has to take together as a group to coordinate their assets (naval and aerial) in order to evacuate their citizens from a crisis area.
As you may easily understand there is no meaning of a Non NEOCG MS to participate and of course they cannot participate unless they receive the status of MS, meaning observer MS or Full MS.
Nevertheless, Non NEOCG MS can participate to NCG meetings (as your side did and participated at the 33rd NCG meeting held in Oslo, Norway) or exercises, if they request it and take the permission of the NEOCG to do so.
To that end, if your side sir wishes to participate to this exercise as observer or actively, please do not hesitate to procced with a request (official email, not NV) to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus (Host Nation of the Exercise), to this email address and we will circulate your request with a positive note from our side within the NEOCG Member States to have the final approval.
We will then inform you accordingly about the results.
