Hi Orit,

 

I am now back in the office after visiting for Çanakkale for the Turkish Naval Victory Day ceremonies.  The program for my proposed HOTO to COL Wood in Israel is below.  Confirmed events are in blue, those awaiting confirmation are in red.

 

You will understand that the meetings I am seeking with the IDF branch heads, are not aimed at the IDC branch heads.  I’d like to introduce COL Wood to the actual J3 (etc) of the IDF … not a J3 officer at Camp Aviv.  I imagine that when the IDF want something from us (like a visit by your J3 to Australia), he will be dealing with the actual J3 staff, not the IDC staff … just like I have already arranged for your J3 will meet with the Chief of Joint Operations (3*) and Head of Military Strategic Commitments (2*) etc in Australia.

 

I’ve been trying to pull this together for several weeks now, and frankly, it’s not that complicated!  Your assistance filling in the gaps, and opening some of the senior doors would be much appreciated.

§  Receive a brief on Ex Noah’s Ark.

o   PM – visit Kirya:

§  1130hrs – meet with LTCOL Richard Hecht, Head of International Affairs, Israeli Air Force – confirmed.

§  1230hrs – meet with LTCDR Nirit Lang, Head of Strategic Policy Branch, Israeli Navy – confirmed.

§  1315hrs – office call with Mr Maayan Oren, MALMAB - confirmed.

§  1400hrs - office call with Mr Kobi Taibel, SIBAT - confirmed.

§  1445hrs – meet with Head of Army International Engagement – TBC.

§  1930hrs – dinner with Tel Aviv DAs.

·         Wed 3 Apr:

o   AM - visit Kirya:

§  0900hrs – meet with MAJ Karina Hay, briefing on GF structure, roles, tasks etc - TBC

§  Office call with IDF J2, J3, J4, J5 and J7 staff – all TBC.

§  Office call with Mr Dan Carmel, Hd Asia Pacific for Policy, Political and Military Bureau – TBC.

o   PM – Discussions at Embassy.

·         Thu 4 Apr:

o   AM:

§  Visit MFO Office, Beser Building 2 – 20^th Floor, 1 Ben Gurion Street, Bnei Brak – confirmed – POC - Sharon Peerutin, T: 03-6145214

§  Discussions at Embassy.

o   PM – depart for Ankara.
