Shabbat Shalom Matan,
I can pull a panel together. Diaspora-Israel relations is multi-faceted and there are many contact points. Addressing the issues appropriately in an hour is not possible, but
if that’s the time available, we’ll make sure the students walk away with a greater understanding of the history and importance of this bond.

Steve Shalom,
Hope you are doing well. Thank you very much for your email, as we discussed this year it is on our agenda to interact with the Jewish Federation in Chicago. The time we have for that is on Wednesday June 13th from 08:30-10:00 AM. We thought that it would be fruitful to have a short 30 minutes brief about the Jewish Federation and then to have a one hour panel (including Q&A) about the Relations between Israel and the Diaspora, especially at this time and facing the current challenges. It is important that the panelists present as diverse and varied positions as possible.
As I mentioned our group includes 51 senior members of the Israel National Security Service, including six international officers.
Do you think you can cover this topic and host this group?
Warm regards,
Matan

Shalom,
Bob wrote me that you asked about an agenda. What we discussed is a briefing on the history and makeup of the Chicago Jewish community and our communal institutions. Dr. Nasatir, our president, has
obligations all day, so he unfortunately will not meet with the group. Jay Tcath, Executive VP will speak in his place.
Can you share an updated agenda so I can determine what other topics we may want to touch upon? Let me know also about the idea we discussed for another panel discussion.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve ,
Great speaking with you earlier today about Mabal visit and their interaction with the JUF planned for the morning of June 13th .
As we discussed it is still undecided whether this meeting will take place at the delegation's hotel or at the JUF Building, and what will be the exact time.
Regarding your suggestion for a speaker, he sounds like a great speaker but I’m not sure that under the time limitations that the group has (around 2 hours for the whole activity) he will be the best choice,
since we are more intreasted on Jewish community and federation aspects, and there is a possibility that we will use this time frame to bring the governor.
Anyway, I’m C'cing also Haim and Matan from Mabal , so they can have their comments
