Dear Shahar,

 

At our mil to mil talks in London on Tuesday BG Maisel mentioned that BG Bengio would be happy to consider whether the IDF might engage with the UK on concepts and doctrine.  There is certainly interest in our Development Concepts and Doctrine Centre to share information with the IDF.  DCDC is part of our Joint Force Development within Joint Forces Command see https://www.gov.uk/government/groups/development-concepts-and-doctrine-centre for more detail. 

 

Air Cdre Phil Lester and Brig Khashi Sharifi from DCDC met with BG Finkel on Thursday and had a really useful discussion about a number of issues.  They would be very keen to visit Israel to find out more.  They would also be interested in looking into whether the UK could re-engage with the bilateral J7 work with the US.

 

Would it be possible for me to meet with BG Bengio to discuss the IDF’s approach to concepts and doctrine and to see how UK-Isr engagement might be taken forward?
