As I’m sure you are aware the ongoing situation with COVID 19 is increasing the complexity of future planning.  I would like you to know that my Comd has recently issued a restriction on all travel that is not directly related to operations.  So a visit in the near term would be difficult on our end.

But with an eye to the future I would like to continue discussions and confirm what venues/events should be included in a future visit.  Give the list of topics below what would you suggest.

Hello Maj Zimmerman & Ssgt Herkowitz - I’m Fred Moore, the Operations Officer of the Canadian Joint Warfare Center (CJWC).

 

CJWC has been tasked by BGen Anderson (CJOC, DG Readiness) to further develop the relationship with the Israeli Modeling, Simulation and Wargaming Center/Team.  This relationship was first developed when BGen Anderson attended and was a guest speaker at the Israeli Operational Simulation Summit in Nov of 19.  Also at the summit a specific invite to visit your simulation center was issued by  MGen Bengo, IDF J7.   CJWC is ready to send a visit team (LCol and Def Scientist) in the spring of this year.  The focus of the visit would be to deepen the engagement and discuss;

·         use of simulation to inform decision making at the Div and strategic level. 

• the implementation of blended LVC (Live, Virtual, Constructive) tools
• the use of simulation in Force Build Up (Force Design)

·         experimentation as an adjunct to modelling and simulation

• approaches to innovation, and

·         Integration of Space and IO capabilities into Modeling / Simulation and Wargaming

 

 

Maj I was directed to you by the Canadian Def Attaché,  Ssgt I understand you were the administrative contact for the Summit.   

 

Are either of you able to put me in contact with the leadership team for the Israeli Simulation Center?

I have the administrative contacts from the Summit,  (Ssgt Herskowitz,  nco.herskow@gmail.com ) and have inquired asking who would be the most appropriate contact to coord a visit.   I don’t have a specific Ops O level contact with the Israeli Simulation Center.  I’m also unsure of the proper name for this organization.

 

I wanted to engage yourself to provide top down coord and warning. And also to ask for your help in identifying an Ops O type contact on the Israeli side so that I can conduct direct liaison.    Can you help?
