We still need confirmation that LLHS is approved for us entering and exiting the country as a port of entry/port of departure for customs purposes.

As you can see in the mail below – this is an official IDF/IAF approval.

 

Moreover, and FYI, LLHS is not published in the systems since it’s a military sir base. The landings are approved, and we will give you clearances once the official requests are submitted via the DAO to the IDF J5OPS.

Alex,

A note from the DAO in APACS acknowledging that IAW the FCG LLHS is not available to US mil aircraft, that LLHS is not an enter-depart airfield, and that based on coordination with the embassy and Israeli government both are approved. 

 

In the meantime – before the APACs is approved – we need assurances relayed from the DAO that both will be approved. As more time passes, the closer we get to busting dip lead times and the whole mission will be at risk to execute on the requested date.

The goal is to land at LLHS as a proof of concept. Can you give more specifics on who you need to give you the “thumbs up”?

BLUF: The AOC cannot cut the C-130 missions until they received an email from the IDF (or USEMB?) stating that we have prior coordination that authorizes us to land at LLHS. They need this info ASAP so that we do not lose our missions. Can you help run this down?

Additionally, LLHS is not an enter-depart airfield IAW the FCG.  Can we coordinate for enter-depart clearance from LLHS as well or shall we plan to hop to Ben Gurion on either side of the movement?

I added J5OPS and our Air Control center to the CC line. 

 

There shouldn’t be any problem landing in LLHS. Please make sure that the request goes through the embassy branch in Tel Aviv, and I will monitor and make sure it goes through correctly.
