As promised, here are the details of the proposed DCDC visit.

Aims

- Discuss Global Strategic Trends relevant to the Middle East (from an Israeli perspective) eg Geo-strategic affairs including political, economic, military, population/demographics, climate/energy considerations.

- Seek Israeli cross-Govt, Defence and think tank perspectives on the Future of Competition and Human Augmentation.

- Use the information to update their latest Global Strategic Trends publication (link: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/771309/Global_Strategic_Trends_-_The_Future_Starts_Today.pdf)

Brig Lenny Brown, Head Futures & Strat Analysis

Dates:

20 Apr – Travel to Israel

21-23 – Discussions

24 Apr – Travel to UK

Context:

- The team would like to engage with alternative perspectives such as think tanks and academics/experts (left, centrist and right wing) who may have a unique regional perspective, in addition to cross-government and Defence audiences (but cognisant this will be within the bounds of what can be achieved in 3 days).

- They would also be interested to get an insight on how foresight work is developed into concepts, particularly in fast-moving tech areas
