Josh Lyons has engaged me about your interest in continued partnership going forward. I know it's a busy week given everything happening right now but just wanted to re-open the lines of communication if you remain interested in working with AWG and Able Squadron. Hi Josh,
We are definitely interested in meeting to discuss possible avenues of cooperation for 2019.
I would recommend a project around the development of the rebuilt Syrian army. It would be a subject that incorporates Russia, Iran, technology, land warfare, preparing for conventional warfare, which is of interest to both of us.
What I propose is that we fly to you in NOV or DEC for a one or two day planning discussion.
Is it possible for you guys to be available for such a meeting, and if so, are there dates that work for you?
Of course, we would be open to your ideas as well.
Thanks,
Lazar
PS - Go Sox!

Also, do you have any request/ideas for any joint meetings or research for next year? If AWG is interested, I'd be happy to chew over some ideas...perhaps Syria is an area of mututal interest.

Lazar,
Just got off of a 5 day leave block, not ideal news, but USAREUR punted their review back to TRADOC, so we are restaffing through our own command. I don't think its an issue just yet, but wanted you to know the latest.

"FYSA -
USAREUR responded back and said that it was their position, with the concurrence of EUCOM, that TRADOC will need to work this request; likely through HQDA to DoD and State. Basically, this may be considered an international agreement as it involves representatives of separate governments and relates to official duties and obligations. We've forwarded the packet to TRADOC who has it for action. Once the action is complete, or if they have follow-on questions, I'll let you know. Thanks!" - SJA
