The conference, which was held for the first time, intended to outline a new tradition in the World Zionist Organization, which will honor Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel (1907-1972) who through the force of his personality, values, Jewish outlook and Zionist concept, was a living, inspiring beacon of learning and accomplishment. His influence on the Jewish world and on the Jewish-Israeli dialog have been tremendous and are still in their infancy.
Therefore, we convened to study him and his legacy – but mainly to study ourselves - the extended Family of the Jewish People. We experience a frank familial dialog about Judaism, Zionism, nationality and about activism. We also discussed liberty, human rights, love for people. And love for the world.
