I’ve included our event below on Russia’s campaign in Syria, which will be live and virtual at 12pm EST on Wednesday, May 13. Our report will be released next week. Most everyone briefing was involved in USG Syria policy for some period during Russia’s involvement (in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, US Army, CIA, or the White House).

Please join the CSIS Transnational Threats Project on Wednesday, May 13 to discuss a new report on the Russian campaign in Syria. Dr. Seth Jones, Harold Brown Chair and Director of the Transnational Threats Project, will be joined by CSIS experts to discuss Russia’s military and diplomatic campaign in Syria, the largest and most significant Russian out-of-area operation since the end of the Cold War.
 
Experts joining Seth will include: Brian Katz, Fellow, former CIA analyst for the Middle East and country director for Syria in the Office of the Secretary of Defense; Shannon Culberston, Visiting Fellow and on leave from the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy; and Colonel Jason P.
