Mad Scientist with TRADOC FLOs, TRADOC G2, AFC FCC and IAPD are having a Virtual conference on Global Perspectives in the Operational Environment on 29 January 2020. This conference will be live streamed, open to everyone (no DoD or military affiliation required), and Unclassified in its entirety. We would love to have the U.S. Liaison Officers abroad participate in this conference, reach out to whom they feel would give a great presentation and invite them to do so, and finally, encourage live streamed attendance where they are stationed. Below is a message the they can send to elicit presenters and also raise awareness. If they wish to send their own message, they are most welcome to utilize and send the attachments. Additionally, if of interest, I am happy to provide a quick briefing with an overview of the conference at their January 6th meeting here at TRADOC. Please let me know if you have any questions whatsoever. Have a great day! v/r, Allison =========break========= Greetings, I write to encourage you to reach out and invite a presenter to virtually speak at a conference co-sponsored by G2, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC); Army Futures Command, and the TRADOC IAPD and TRADOC Foreign Liaison Officers. The conference topic is Global Perspectives in the Operational Environment. The event is a virtual and will be live streamed on 29 January 2020 from the Jacobs Theater on Ft. Eustis, Virginia. Presenters do not require any military affiliation or any clearances. It is completely open to everyone . Its primary objectives are: * To explore topics like: artificial intelligence, autonomy, information warfare (deep fakes), cyber attack and defense, economic warfare, competition, and conflict * Identify specific partner primary concerns/challenges in the Operational Environment * Identify what could be missing in the U.S. Army's current description of the Operational Environment to include conflict concerns and opportunities We ask that you present virtually for event (by Skype, preferably) and, ideally, participate in responding to audience questions. Mad Scientist is a U.S. Army initiative and a community of action that continually explores the future through collaborative partnerships and continuous dialogue with academia, industry, and government. Through this initiative, the Army shapes future multi-domain operations in its role as a thought leader on the future of warfare. The conference will be notably different than recent other Mad Scientist gatherings in that we will focus on the international perspective of the Operational Environment. This conference recognizes that U.S. and partner forces cannot alone accomplish their missions but must instead be part of a whole-of-government, multinational, and broader comprehensive approach that includes NGO, IGO, and commercial partners. Your participation in providing an international perspective regarding how your Nation is, (1) considering what technology or security concern is particular or unique to your own country or region, (2) what emerging and /or disruptive technology is most concerning to your country and how are you investing in it and / or defending against it ,and, (3) what could we be missing in our current descriptions of the Operational Environment? Your Nations' perspectives on how it identifies and meets operational demands in the operational environment would further assist us in providing insights of value to future U.S. military doctrine and in refining further consideration of these challenges. Attached above are the "Save the Date," Conference information paper, and a PowerPoint that explains what Mad Scientist does. We much appreciate your consideration and hope to hear you address our audience as speaker 29 January 2019. You are of course welcome to attend the entire event. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions whatsoever.
