Dear Matan and Ilan, It was such a pleasure to meet you both yesterday. I hope your time in the US ended well and that you are safely at home by the time you read this.Dr. Bechtol and the leadership at Angelo State and Texas Tech were pleased that you were able to meet with Steve and me last night to discuss the possible collaboration with ASU, and they look forward to following up on the next steps that we discussed before your trip to Russia after next week.First, I wanted to provide some additional information that your inquired about during our meeting. The Masters in Security Studies requires a total of 36 credit hours, which equals 12 classes. Each class lasts 8 weeks. The courses can be taken in any order. The average pace to complete the Masters in Security Studies is 2.5 years at the rate of 1 class per session and 18 months if 2 classes are taken per session. There are five 8 week sessions throughout the year.Second, as promised, the syllabi for the Securities Studies courses are attached, including the Asia regional studies course, along with the link for the various course descriptions --Please let me know if you need more of this information.Third, we can "drill down" into the courses after you have a chance to review the course descriptions. Dr. Bechtol will review any of these courses that you would like to see by showing you the actual course as delivered online. Since you were hoping to complete this before leaving for Russia on the 14th, please let me know if you are available to participate in the online review on June 8 next Wednesday morning 9:00 am Eastern Daylight Time, USA time.Lastly, It will take 15 minutes for each course that you want to see online, so we need to to allow enough time to cover all that you want to see. In addition, I apologize for the additional stress, but ASU would need to know which online courses you select to review 3 days before the scheduled review so that the courses can be fully loaded. If you are able to participate in the online review next Wednesday, for example, I would need to know by the end of this Friday which courses you want to see online. That just may be too quick for you after all your travel, but we are trying to meet your schedule, so please let me know what works best for you, either way. Once you are able to pick the date for the online review, I will put you in touch with the ASU IT Director who will provide you with the log on information. I plan to join you and Dr. Bechtol for this online review, as well, whenever it is scheduled.I look forward to hearing from you.Warmest regards,Karen
