Hey everyone,

Great seeing you earlier on Zoom! We reviewed Prepositions of Time and went over the rules of Telling the Time in English.

**Remember: We don’t say “five-and-a-half” for 5.30. The options are: “five-thirty” or “half-past five”.

**Remember: We don’t say: “Six-and-a-quarter” for 6.15. The options are: “six-fifteen” or “a quarter past six”.

Also – another “polite” option for asking someone the time, is “Excuse me, do you have the time?”

So.. for next time, please:

  1. Review the Presentation on Telling the Time and do the online exercises at the link below (I will quiz you next session):

Online Exercises (Multiple Choice – שאלות אמריקאיות):

  1. Please send me a voice message with three sentences, describing what you and family members / friends do at certain times on the weekend (use the Present Simple):

Eg: “at 10.30am on Friday, my sister runs on the beach.” / “At 7.30pm on Saturday evening, I watch Netflix with my son”

Wishing you all a Chag Sameach, see you next time,

Ilana
