Dear Yossi,
life here in Italy is quite surreal but manageable. My course was moved online for a couple of days and then suspended for the difficulties in making the lectures available.
I have been stuck in my house for the past ten days, but my entire family is with me here in Rome and therefore I am actually enjoying my time with them. My wife works with her phone, my son does online classes with his university and my daughter gets some online classes and some homeschooling from me.
The problem is not one of protection for single person but more a collective one. The aim is to reduce the stress on the heath system so that it can cope with the virus cases. If you are relatively young and fit it does not seem a real issue so far.
For the credits, I really want to do whatever is necessary, I am still working on my final project and I will finish it no matter what, I already put a lot of effort in it and I am passionate about the topic. Hopefully I will send a first initial draft soon to prof. Hasson.
I am ok if you want to send me something to write about but if you remember, you asked me also to write a report on the book prof Hasson gave me to read: East Moves West. The book is about the interest India and China have been showing to the Middle East in the last decade or so. Let me know wht you prefer and I'll gladly do it.
I miss al the friends in Mabal really a lot, but in the last couple of days they moved to online classes and I was able to follow a couple of lessons of the Israeli Society course. It was really nice to see so many friendly faces and it helps a lot to keep the mind off corona.

I hope my e-mail finds you healthy and happy as always. Is your course going on? Are you at home?
The news from your country are dreadful – so I do hope you and you family are in good!
As nobody knows what will be the end for this, we try to push the academic year as far as we can, hoping to complete all needed credit points so that each of you will receive the MA degree.
I do remember that in order to enable you to leave for this term, we agreed upon a certain task that I’ll give you and then I’ll be able to credit you for the missing 2 points or so..
So if you intend to return if possible, or to complete your duties so to achieve the degree – I’ll send you 2 short pieces to read and to write a 2 pages report on each…
