Dear Dr. Cagaptay,
Following Will's message, the talk that we are interested in is planned as part of a learning day on Turkey, which will take place on February 8th 2021.
If you are willing and available around 8:30am DC time, we would like you to focus in particular on Erdogan's vision and strategy, as other Israeli scholars and
practitioners are expected to cover Turkey's history from the Emprie times to building a state, Turkey's political system, Turkey's economy, and Turkey's geopolitical considerations – from joining NATO to our days.
If relevant, we would be happy to provide additional information on the College and its academic program.
The talk is planned for an hour (45 minutes lecture and 15 minutes for Q&A).
I would appreciate your consideration.
Best regards,
Merav
Amb. Merav Zafary-Odiz
Chief Instructor

Subject: Connecting Dr. Soner Cagaptay with Amb. Merav Zafary-Odiz from the Israel National Defense College
Dear Soner,
I hope this email finds you well! I hope you’re staying healthy and safe.
I’m reaching out to connect you with Ambassador Merav Zafary-Odiz, cced. Merav is the Chief Instructor at the Israel National Defense College, Israel's highest institution for training senior staff
in the IDF, the security establishment, as well as senior officials in government ministries and agencies, for senior positions. I worked with Merav to coordinate several virtual lectures that Dennis gave to the Israel National Defense College earlier this
year.
Merav wanted to ask you about your availability and willingness to give a Zoom lecture on Turkey on February 8th—I will leave it to Merav to provide additional information.
All the best,
Will
