Hi Merav,

first of all I really wanted to thank you and all the staff for the support I received during my absence and especially for the adventurous travel back to Israel.

I am truly happy to be back, it's a good sensation and I cannot wait for my family to experience Israel the way I am. I always felt fully part of the course but nothing is like being here!

On another note, I asked my academic advisor, professor Shlomo Hasson, if he had commented my draft paper and he said that you have the marked up copy (see email below).

Can you please send it to me whenever possible? If for any reason it's a hard copy then I can maybe find someone that can bring it here for me.

Thank you again, looking forward to meeting again in person!

Stay safe!

Davide

Dear Davide,

Welcome to Israel.
I liked very much your paper and marked it.
Please ask Merav for the paper with my comments on it.

Best regards,
Shlomo

Dear Shlomo,

I hope to find you in good health, I see that Israel has been doing an outstanding job at dealing with Corona virus and hopefully these days will be behind us not too far away from today.

For myself, as of last night, and after a very unreal trip through empty airports and fully suited up flight assistants, I returned to Tel Aviv. I am really happy to be back, especially because I need to prepare the arrival of my family in light of my next assignment at the Italian Embassy.

I wanted to ask you if you had a chance to comment my draft paper. Today I presented the topic to the class and staff at Mabal and received some interesting suggestions. As you know the deadline for submission is at the end of this month and I am not sure how many iterations I will have to go trough before it's completed.

In the meantime I send you my best wishes for good heath!

Dear Shlomo,

I hope to find you well in these dire times. I am currently in Italy, where I have been in lock-down in my home for the past 4 weeks.
The situation here in Italy seems to be getting better but what will happen in the future is still a big unknown, we are truly in uncharted territory here.

Among the bad things I am enjoying some time with my family and was able to spend some time on my final Mabal paper.

Please find attached the first version of the paper for you comments and suggestions. I waited until today to send you this draft because I did not want to send you a partial one. I hope in this way to be able to give you a better idea of what I wanted to write about.

I take the occasion to wish you a happy Pessach in the hope that our countries, and the entire world, will go through this crisis as soon as possible.

Best wishes,

Davide Salerno

Dear Davide,

You may find some interest in the attached IMF report.
Among other things, it explores the impact of global economic slowdown and geopolitical uncertainty on oil prices.
Indeed global economic slowdown may be another driver to be taken into consideration.

Best regards,
Shlomo
