Thank you for the detailed message and explanation regarding the course that Davide will have to attend. It is indeed a very long period to be absent from Mabal, and as much as we would like this period to be as short as possible, I trust that you have looked into it carefully and determined that these 6 weeks are mandatory.

 

I have spoken with General Veruv and Professor Ben Artzi, and we will find a way to accommodate this absence so that Davide can graduate from Mabal like the other participants. You can assure him and your HQ that we will make the necessary arrangements in order to make this happen, as we too value that a Mabal graduate will work in your embassy.

Dear Merav,

I wanted to inform you that I have finally received the final schedule for the Attaché Course that Davide will have to attend in Rome.

The Course will last 9 weeks starting February 24, and Davide will have to attend at least the first six weeks, from Feb 24^th to Apr 3^rd.

I realize that it is not a short period but, as I anticipated during our meeting, this year is quite unique since the position that Davide will take had been canceled and only recently has been reinstated, and those 6 weeks are a mandatory requirement.

Davide assures me that he will continue to keep track of the MABAL classes through the reading and lectures materials and he will duly submit all written course requirements. You know how important it is for us is that a MABAL graduate would be able to work in our embassy, and at the same time I hope that this will not cause you and all the MABAL team any unmanageable complication.

Please let me know if this situation is feasible for you, so that I‘ll be able to inform officially the Defence General Staff that our proposal for having Davide here in the Embassy from the end of this summer to work with us is viable.
